Professional Philosophy:

Therapy is about Connecting. Parents connecting with children. Partners connecting with partners. Individuals connecting with their inner Self and higher power. Growing is about connecting with your past, present, and future; Healing is connecting with your pain in order to get to your hope. As a therapist, my job is to facilitate these connections. Grounded in Development and Attachment Therapy, I am honored to be an advocate for children, adolescents, and families. I believe a successful therapeutic relationship is built upon appreciation, sensitivity, and compassion. It should be a safe space where creativity is encouraged, collaboration is necessary, and all voices are heard.

Education and Credentials:

  • Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Syracuse University

  • AAMFT Clinical Member

  • AAMFT Supervisor Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Childhood Development from Central Michigan University

  • Advanced Certificate of Trauma

  • Training in TF-CBT Therapy

Professional Philosophy:

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I understand that all individuals are connected not only to themselves, but also the relationships and systems that they engage in during everyday life, whether those relationships be with family, partners, social and cultural environments. These relationships are extremely important in how we understand ourselves and others around us. My work with clients is centered on a strength-based foundation, nurturing a safe and collaborative therapy environment, while helping clients to explore what personal and relational struggles and narratives they bring to the therapy room. As a therapist, I have experience working with children and adolescents and their family systems, as well as individuals seeking help to experience more balance in their lives.
